Who we are

KLCO Group is a group of associated firms in Malaysia providing audit, tax and company secretarial services. Each firm is a separate and independent legal entity, responsible only for its own services and its own clients. "We" in this policy means whichever KLCO Group firm you deal with.

This policy explains how each firm handles personal data, including through the software tools its staff use to do this work.

What data we handle

Details our clients give us, or that we need, to provide our services: for example company and contact details, identification and tax reference numbers, financial information, and documents filed with or received from government authorities.

Our staff tools use only the data needed for the task at hand.

How we use it

Only to provide the services our clients engage us for, including preparing and filing statutory and tax submissions, and to keep proper records as the law requires.

Who we share it with

Only with the government authorities a filing is made to, and with service providers who help us run our systems under confidentiality obligations. A KLCO Group firm shares client data with another KLCO Group firm only where the client has engaged that firm too, or with the client's consent.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or credit decisions.

How we protect it

Access is limited to authorised KLCO staff. Data is sent over encrypted connections and kept only as long as needed for our services and legal record-keeping.

Your rights

We handle personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia). You may ask to access or correct personal data we hold about you by contacting us.
